Why Natural Skincare

Brookbury began in a small condo along the East River in Brooklyn, NYC 🗽

Founder Yanin Eng needed a solution for her baby daughter's worsening eczema. After going through a few products that didn't work, she decided to develop her very own, made exclusively with natural ingredients such as beeswax and calendula oil. 

Yanin's original formulation became known as "baby balm" since she used it morning and night to soothe her baby's eczema.  Soon, friends were asking to buy their own.  Proven and time-tested, our beloved "baby balm" has grown up to become the all-purpose healing balm we call Brookbury Skin Salve. 

Finding success, Yanin continued to formulate new skincare products such as the popular Emira Vitamin C Cream and AURA hydrating face serum.

Brookbury was born out of a desire to offer what Yanin wanted to provide her own daughter — safe, yet highly effective natural skincare.

Botanical ingredients such as Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and Jojoba Oil were chosen for their unique abilities to revitalize or even skin tones.
